figgy pudding

i watched  brothers and sister tonight and in this christmas episode a la scrooge, nora  decided to chuck christmas  and go to santa fe with her boyfriend. the kids were all fighting and there was reference to " figgy pudding". i had never heard of this concoction  and was intrigued so i googled it. it is quite an extensive recipe and one which i will not attempt this year, as apparently i am making too many desserts already and it is a very seriously long recipe. i just don't feel like trying it  at this time . so many recipes so little time.. and right now i kinda feel underappreciated and santa fe is looking better and better.
